What Would Happen If You Just Let Go? 4 Minute Read 1

The more people I talk to about what brings them happiness in their life, the more I hear that they are still searching for that “perfect” level of happiness. Society in general is always on the elusive hunt for their Dream Life, but as time passes and life happens, they forget why they are chasing their Dream Life.

I want to challenge you to try something new.  I want you to think about why you are doing what you are doing.  What is your reason for getting up every morning? What motivates you to want more than you currently have?  Why is what you currently have not enough?

The reason I ask those questions is because I would like you to really dig deep inside and ask yourself WHY.  Are you trying to amass “things” so your family and friends will be envious? I am going to go out on a limb here and say that 95% of society has forgotten about their “WHY” and is just coasting along with their life hoping something will change to make them happy.

What would happen if you just let go?

Letting go can mean many things to many people.  It’s not important what you let go of.  It’s important to be aware that every one of us has “stuff” that we need to let go of.  It may be a dead-end job, an abusive relationship, a toxic friendship or simply just not being honest with yourself about what really makes you happy.

Letting go of whatever it is that is holding you back from being who you want to be can be a messy and lengthy process. The cool thing about it taking time is that you have time to allow the change to happen organically.  You can start out with baby steps and then gradually work towards getting that giant purple elephant off of your back.

It’s ok to let go of friendships that are not in your best interest. It’s ok to let go of a relationship that is damaging your feeling of self-worth and personal happiness. It’s ok to let go of whatever it is that is bothering you and not allowing you to be truly happy on a daily basis.

You’ve heard it before and I’ll say it again… We only have one life to live.  That can be frightening if you want it to be or it can be enlightening and freeing if you choose it to be.  Do you want to live your life trying to fit in with a society that honestly only cares about Numero Uno? I sure don’t want to and I’m sure you don’t either if you are being completely honest with yourself.  So, I will ask you again…

What would happen if you just let go?

letting go is not giving up
