Have you ever been fortunate enough in your life to have met the one person who loves you unconditionally and accepts you for who are? Even with my crazy quirks and idiosyncrasies, she loves me and makes me laugh. She is always making sure I have everything I need, even when I tell her that I don’t need anything. She can whip together dinner with whatever we have in the kitchen, and she takes care of our fluffs. That is just a few of the many things I love about her.
I’m talking about Julie Anne Powell. Julie and I met just over 6 years ago and almost immediately fell in love. Over those 6 years, we have definitely had our ups and downs but I wouldn’t trade them for anything. It has made us who we are today and given us the strength to come back together once again. I know we have broken up many times because of various reasons, but true love always finds a way.
I have to admit that in the past, I have listened to family and friends advice about my relationship with Julie and how I should proceed with it. I also realize now that this is my life and I am the only one who gets to make that decision. It’s up to me to live my life the way I want to, and I choose to have Julie be a part of my life.
When you meet someone who is willing to uproot their entire life and existence and move to another country because they support you in your decision to assist others, you know you have yourself a “keeper”.
I am not one to sit here and write a long-winded article about the many reasons why I love Julie. I will simply tell you this: Julie and I have a very special bond and I’ve known it since the first time I met her. She “gets” me and she will do anything for me, as I will do anything for her. To me, that is true love.
Thank you Julie for being you. Thank you for being there for me and listening to me. Thank you for putting up with me. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I love you Julie and now I’m not afraid to let the entire world know it!
